Master Naturalist Class Met At Wildwood ACRES Nature Preserve
SILVER LAKE— Sixteen members of the 2016 Kosciusko County Indiana Master Naturalist class met at Wildwood ACRES Nature Preserve near Silver Lake this week to learn about wildflower identification. The presentation given by Casey Jones, ACRES Land Trust Director of Land Management, included a slide show on flower anatomy for identification and a short hike for field experience.
Sponsored by the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), this is the first year a Master Naturalist class has been held in Kosciusko County. After investigating 12 topics specific to the natural resources of our county and the State of Indiana during the year and completion of 24 hours of volunteer community service, members will graduate as certified Indiana Master Naturalists.
