Sara Ann Mihalko-Hoffer-Neal
Sara Ann Mihalko-Hoffer-Neal, 81, formerly of Warsaw, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was born Jan. 19, 1935, in Monaca, Pa. On Aug. 2, 1969, she married Lee Neal, who preceded her in death. They were married for 46 years.
She graduated from Monaca High School in 1954. She later moved to Etna Green where she worked as a secretary for the high school. She was a member of the Etna Green Church of Christ. In 1980 they moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., to begin a new chapter in their life together. They bought a small liquor store and then expanded it into a wine and liquor store. They both became involved in charity work for the Abilities Foundation. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed life to the fullest with her generosity of giving and loving to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her two children: Dirk A. Hoffer; and Lisa D. Fath; two grandchildren: Jacob R. Fath; and Lucas M. Fath; and her sister: Eleanor Huffman. She also was preceded in death by her parents: Andrew Mihalko; and Melinza Mihalko; four sisters: Alice Shields; Clara Raffety; Mary Ellen Mahon; Betty Kisella; and a brother: William Mihalko.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. A celebration of life will follow at the residence of Dave and Debra Mann, Warsaw.
