BOURBON – A total of seven players from the Triton softball and baseball teams have been honored by the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
The softball team had the trio of Courtney Jennings, Nicole Sechrist and Taytum Hargrave named to the All-HNAC team. Megan Berger was an honorable mention choice for the Trojans.
Triton finished in fourth place in the final regular-season league standings at 5-3. Pioneer went 8-0 to win the title, followed by Knox (7-1), Winamac (6-2), Triton (5-3), Caston (4-4), North Judson (2-6), LaVille (2-6), West Central (2-6) and Culver (0-8).
The Trojans finished third in the HNAC Tournament this weekend. Winamac won the tourney and Pioneer was runner-up.
Zac Pitney from the Triton baseball team earned All-HNAC honors. The duo of Dylan Hensley and Max Slusser were honorable mention picks to the all-league team.
Pioneer went 15-1 to claim the HNAC championship. Caston and Knox tied for second at 10-6, followed by LaVille (9-7), Triton (9-7), Winamac (9-7), Culver (5-11), North Judson (5-11) and West Central 90-16).
