Whitko Baseball: Wildcats Earn Sweep
SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s baseball team continued its fine-tuning for sectional Saturday morning.
Alex Robbins earned the win in the morning game, an 11-6 decision, after pitching six innings and striking out three batters. Tanner Gaff and Landen Goff were each 2-2 at the plate and combined to score seven runs.
Whitko won the second game by the same score, 11-6, behind Riley Anderson’s four and one-third innings of work. Anderson fanned three batters.
Alex Bechtold was 4-4 from the plate with two runs, two RBIs and a stolen base.
Whitko plays Churubusco Monday in its regular season finale.
