Whitko Baseball: Wildcats Top New Haven
NEW HAVEN — The Whitko baseball team was back in action Friday evening. The Wildcats traveled to take on New Haven and came back with a 9-6 victory.
Whitko used 12 hits to score its nine runs and was led offensively by Zach Hewitt who was 3-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Tanner Gaff was 3-5 with two runs scored while Hunter Sroufe was 2-3 with a pair of RBIs.
Alex Robbins got the win for the Wildcats on the mound as he went six innings and gave up four earned runs. Sroufe picked up the save in relief following a five-run seventh for New Haven.
Whitko is now 16-4 and will take on Monroe Central Saturday morning for a double header at Ball State.
