Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, East CR 1000N east of North Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Driver: Travis M. Mrozinski, 20, North Sandpoint Drive, Cromwell. Mrozinski’s vehicle left the road and hit a tree. A passenger in Mrozinski’s vehicle, Benjamin M. Sauer, 19, North Wawasee Circle, Cromwell, had contusions, bruising and an injury to his left eye. Damage up to $5,000.
8:19 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, North CR 1000E south of East Adams Road, Pierceton. Driver: James A. Hurd, 53, West Orange Street, Cromwell. Hurd’s vehicle collided with a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:16 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, East CR 200N east of North 575E, Warsaw. Driver: Anselmo Juarez-Romero, 34, Sandra Lane, Winona Lake. Juarez-Romero swerved his vehicle and it ran off the road, hitting a utility pole. Juarez-Romero was issued a citation. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:09 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, South Buffalo Street south of East Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Franchesca S. Williams, 29, Drexel Avenue, Fort Wayne, and Alan L. Heeter, 68, South Woodland Hills, Warsaw. Heeter slowed his vehicle to turn and Williams’s vehicle rear-ended it. Damage up to $10,000.
11 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 302 W. Market St., Warsaw. Driver: David F. Coppes, 65, North Henry Street, Milford. Coppes attempted to back his vehicle into a parking space and it collided with a parked car. Coppes left the scene and was cited for failure to stop after an accident. Damage up to $2,500.
