WCS Kindergarten Registration Deadline Approaching
WARSAW — As the school year comes to a close, parents are encouraged to finalize their kindergarten registration forms. Those who missed April’s kindergarten roundup are still able to register their child at their neighborhood elementary school.
Parents interested in enrolling their child in the Spanish-English dual language immersion program are encouraged to seek information about the program and registration at Eisenhower Elementary School.
DLI seeks to enroll students of varying backgrounds and all abilities and offers a rich bilingual experience for young learners when minds are developmentally best to acquire a second language.
Instruction is divided between two high-quality, creative classrooms: one English, one Spanish. Applications are open to all students entering kindergarten. For more information, contact Chris Gensinger at 574-269-7440.
In addition, the half-day kindergarten enrollment deadline has been extended to Friday, May 20. Half-day kindergarten is offered pending enrollment numbers and interested parents are encouraged to register by contacting Jennifer Zaugg at Warsaw Community School’s central office at (574) 371- 5098.
The deadline for the United Way Kindergarten Countdown program is Thursday, May 12. The camp provides a kindergarten orientation program for children who have not had preschool experience. Students will be introduced to kindergarten curriculum while also learning classroom, lunch and bathroom expectation.
