Use of the new city garbage trucks and new carts begins this week. Residents must use the new carts to have trash picked up.

WARSAW — This week is the first pick-up using the new residential roll-out carts and new trucks by Warsaw Public Works. Residents are being reminded the new carts must be used. Trash placed in other types of receptacles will not be picked up.

Additionally residents are reminded their trash day has not changed and carts should be placed where the new cart was dropped off. There should be 3-feet of space between the cart and any obstruction, such as poles, mailboxes and recycle bins.

Old trash cans will be picked up, to be recycled the weeks of May 16 and 23. Persons wishing to dispose of the old cans should turn the cans upside down at the trash site.
