Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:19 p.m. Thursday, May 5, North SR 13 and East CR 200N, Pierceton. Driver: Tealie Goble, 78, West Wayne Street, Pierceton. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
8:09 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, West Warren Drive and North CR 350W, Warsaw. Drivers: Rinika D. Punjabi, 27, West Warren Drive, Warsaw, and Joby D. Popenfoose, 38, Robin Drive, Warsaw. Punjabi failed to see the Popenfoose vehicle, driving her vehicle into its path. Damage up to $1,000.
7:24 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, North CR 150W, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Madison B. Stapleton, 18, East Prairie Street, Leesburg. Stapleton lost control of her vehicle, going off the side of the side of the road. The vehicle then rolled over. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:01 p.m. Friday, May 6, St. Augustines Drive, south of Sophie Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Trenten M. Elder 23, East Church Street, Pierceton, and Alma R. Jiminez, 22, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Elder was backing his vehicle from a parking space and failed to see the Jiminez vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
1:24 p.m. Friday, May 6, East CR 300N and Dellview Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Barbara G. Barth, 61, East CR 1150N, Milford, and Caleb Lemasters, 36, Pennsular Avenue, Key West, Fla. Barth missed the turn at Dellview Drive and backed her vehicle to make the turn, failing to see the Lemasters vehicle behind her. Damage up to $5,000.
12:18 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, South Hand Avenue, south of West Center Street. Driver: Jacob W. Ponko 35, East Clark Street, Warsaw. The top of the truck driven by Ponko collided with the viaduct and became stuck. Damage estimated up to $2,500.
9:11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Caitlyn J. Chaffins, 19, East CR 50N, Akron, and Nirmal K. Vijayachandran, 47, Club Court Drive, Fort Wayne. Chaffins’ vehicle sideswiped the Vijayachandran vehicle while changing lanes. Damage up to $1,000.
