Get Your Tootsie Rolls And Donate Today And Tomorrow

WARSAW — It’s that time of year again; The Knights of Columbus are out at the City of Warsaw’s intersections, wearing their bright yellow vests, waving Tootsie Rolls and collecting donations to support programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
Around 10 a.m. there were KoC at the intersections of Detroit Street and Center Street, Winona avenue and Detroit Street, and Buffalo Street and Winona Avenue. According to Cardinal Services Community Relations Manager Michelle Boxell, a KoC volunteer will be at every intersection in the town.
The Knights of Columbus will be at the intersections today, May 6, and tomorrow Saturday, May 7. Over the years, the Knights of Columbus has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars – $342,000 since 1997 – and keeping it in the community by donating to Special Olympics, Magical Meadows and Cardinal Services.
The Tootsie Roll Drive is done every year around springtime, but still a word of caution; watch for the men and women in the yellow vests and drive responsibly.
