Beverly E. Long — UPDATED
Beverly E. Long, 80, Warsaw, passed away May 4, 2016, at 10:35 a.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was born March 9, 1936 in Bourbon, to Clayton and Violet (Conrad) Huggins. On June 24, 1956 in Bourbon she married William (Bill) Long who survives.
She graduated from Bourbon high school. She and her husband owned and operated Hoffman Lake Campground for 53 years. She was a member of the Indiana Campground Owners Association where she was a previous board member and the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds where she received the Outdoor Hospitality Excellence through Industry Unity since 2008 Award. She volunteered at Atwood Elementary School. In addition, she was a Camp Fire Girls Leader, a Cub Scout Leader, and a member of the KCH Ladies Auxiliary and Merry Tones Home EC Club.
She is survived by her husband Bill; her children: Aime (and spouse Hal) Hoffman of Yellow Creek Lake; Mike (and spouse Dara) Long; and Mark Long all of Warsaw. Furthermore, she is survived by her daughter-in-law: Susan Long of Warsaw; grandchildren: Hanna (Bud) Losee, Etna Green; Kelsey (Nick) Miller, Hoffman Lake; Stacie (Brent) Anderson, Leesburg; Jessica (Miles) Wynn, Gresham, Ore.; Rob and Aaron Hoffman, Yellow Creek Lake; Mariah and Matt Long, Warsaw; Isaac Long, Plymouth and a step-granddaughter Aerial Gilbert, Warsaw. Great grandchildren: Avah and Norah Miller, Sawyer, Tripp and Jaxon Anderson and Oliver Wynn also survive.
She was preceded in death by her son: Timothy Long who died Jan. 1, 2016, her sister: Peg Baumgardner, brother: Thomas Huggins.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, at 11 a.m. with visitation one-hour prior. Pastor Rob Seewald will officiate the services. Interment will be in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, IN.
