Tippecanoe Valley Golf: Vikings 7th In Invite
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team got through the rain Saturday to finish seventh in the Rochester Invitational.
The Vikings shot 375 in the 14-team event played out in soggy conditions at the Round Barn Golf Course.
Northfield captured the team title by shooting 337. Winamac was second at 345 with Kokomo (350), Rochester (354) and Logansport (360) rounding out the top five teams.
Jeremy Julian once again was the top player for the Vikings. He fired a round of 84 to finish in a tie for seventh place among individuals in the tournament.
Trevor Neeley came in with an 87 for Valley, which tied him for 10th place among individuals.
Chandler Newsome shot a 99 and Cole Cumberland a 105 for the Vikings. Kane Stellar finished with a 106 and John Young a 109.
Huntington North was sixth in the team standings at 360 with the Vikings seventh at 375. Peru was eighth at 390, followed by Columbus North (393), Maconaquah (401), Southwood (415), Cass (422), North Judson (459) and Caston (484).
The Vikings are slated to play in the LaVille Invitational May 7 at Sprig-O-Mint.
