Rosemary Elaine Sherwood
Rosemary Elaine Sherwood, 71, Ligonier, formerly of Bourbon, passed away at 8:05 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at home.
Rosemary was born on Sep. 5, 1944, in South Bend, the daughter of Harold DeWitt Molebash and Myrtle Hope (Senour) Molebash. She was a lifelong resident of Bourbon until she moved to Ligonier with her daughter in November of 2015. She was a 1962 graduate of Bourbon High School and had been a secretary for Farm Bureau Co-op in Plymouth until she became a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, being a “Mom” and “Grandma”. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Rosemary was previously married to Bryan B. Bradfield of LaPaz and later married Kenneth Sherwood on Sep. 8, 1979; he survives.
Rosemary is survived by her husband: Kenneth; three daughters: Michelle (Mrs. Chuck) Phillips, Ligonier; Angela Bradfield, Plymouth; and Julie (Mrs. Brandon) Treesh, Bremen. She was further blessed with six grandchildren: Christopher Bradfield, Brandon Herold, Rhiannon Thompson, Jeremy Phillips, Paige Thompson and Adalynn Treesh; two step grandchildren: Breighton and Hunter Treesh along with her sister, Reita Lockridge of New Port Richey, Fla.
She was preceded in death only by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home located at 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504
Funeral Services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 3, in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Sandridge Cemetery beside her parents.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Rosemary’s family to help defray funeral expenses.
