Quniton ‘Eugene’ Barger
Quinton “Eugene” Barger, 59, Rochester, passed away at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his residence.
On Aug. 19, 1956, Eugene was born in East Prairie, Mo. to Homer T. and Hilda Bissher Barger.
Eugene and Catrina Fuson were married on Feb. 5, 1994 in Delong. They shared 22 years of life’s adventures. A landscaping professional, Eugene loved to work in his yard, manicuring it to perfection. He also planted shrubs and flowers to add beauty to the landscape of his home. To relax he enjoyed westerns. Paramount in his life was his family. There was nothing more important than visits from his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish Eugene’s memory are his wife, Catrina; three sons: James Fuson and wife Belinda of Gary; Clayton Barger of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Shelton Barger of Delong; three grandchildren: Nicholas Fuson; Haley Mae Fuson; Emily Fuson; four sisters: Stella Williams and husband “Doc” of East Prairie, Mo.; Wanda Howard of Portage; Terry Barger of Charleston, Mo.; Ruthann Horn of Portage; sister-in-law Anita Lewis; several nieces, including: Shar Melroy and Mya Lewis; and two canine companions: Phoebe and Bull, both brindle Boxers.
Preceding Eugene in death are his parents and a sister: Darlean Hancock.
A celebration of the life of Quinton Eugene Barger will be at 4 p.m. Friday, April 29, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
