Why I Voted For Pam Galloway
Dear Editor,
Pam Galloway has been going door-to-door six days a week since last summer; July, I think. I’ve been with Pam when a mom stopped our car so she could tell Pam about her daughter’s health insurance issues. Then she asked, “What makes you think you can change anything?” I cringed and then heard a very confident Pam give a great answer.
I’ve also waited around while Pam sat on a porch for 10 to 15 minutes while someone else explained their personal health crisis. When one homeowner gave me his reasons for supporting Obamacare, not because he really liked it, but because he didn’t like how the Republicans neglected to fix it when they had the chance. Pam later went back to the house while I waited. She asked for more information and tried to better understand his views.
When Pam says she listens, she listens. Like a good doctor, she listens and then prescribes. As a cancer surgeon, she spoke the truth and helped her patients deal with reality. That was a life-and-death approach. Pam brings this same strategy to politics. She has a proven track record in winning difficult political battles. None of her opponents have faced the type of political challenges Pam has faced. In the midst of intense political battles, Pam got things done in a Wisconsin government that required teamwork from both parties. This is why I have voted for Pam Galloway.
