Northfield Tops At Whitko Invite
NORTH MANCHESTER —Sycamore Golf Club was the site for the 2016 Whitko Invitational as 10 teams competed for the tournament’s top prize.
Northfield proved to be the cream of the crop as the Norsemen shot a 324 to take first, beating Triton’s 340. Wawasee took third with a 343. Northfield was led by Braydon Schindler’s 76 and Austin Trump’s 78.
Triton had a low score of 83 from Braden Kreft. Beau Hepler signed for an 84 while Jordan Anderson had an 86. Isaac Wall rounded out the scores for Triton with an 87.
Wawasee had two players make the all-tournament cut (top seven scores) in Jeffrey Moore (80) and Cal Heinisch (80). Cameron Adams (89), Kyle Weideman (94) and Austin Schrack (102) rounded out the scores for the Warriors.
Whitko’s Tim Gensch also made the all-tourney cut with a final score of 81, highlighted by an eagle on the ninth. No other scores were reported for Whitko.
Jeremy Julian’s 78 led Tippecanoe Valley. Michael Shetler was the final player earning all-tourney odds with an 81.
