Triton Tennis: Trojans Shut Out Lancers
BOURBON – Triton won its third straight girls tennis match in three days, shutting out LaVille 5-0 Wednesday.
Trojan singles play was on point, giving up just three games from the three courts. Shayla May and Kolbie Mason remained unbeaten in singles dual play, beating Rachel Ross and Emily Cain love and love. Quinn Downing kept her solid play going with a two and one victory over Charlet Kapke.
Hannah Wanemacher and Emma Ross won 6-2, 6-0 against Karli Watts and Savannah Lucas at one doubles while Tatum Thompson and Megan McFarland got a game from Brianna Lindke and Sydney Han, winning game one 7-5, but the LaVille duo taking game two 7-5. In game three, Triton came out on top 6-3.
In five JV games, Triton went 3-2 against LaVille.
The Trojans move to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Hoosier North Athletic Conference action and a little bit of a break, not playing again until next Wednesday in a doubleheader against North Judson.
