Marilyn J. Brown
Marilyn J. Brown, 88, Milford, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at home.
She was born on May 17, 1927, in Chicago to Royce V. and Alyce E. (Talbot) Fuller. She graduated with the class of 1945 from Milford High School and went on to graduate from Indiana University, where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Marilyn married Robert Brown on Oct. 16, 1949.
As a devoted wife and mother, she always felt her role in life was to stay at home and raise their five children together. Her activities revolved around her church and her family. She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church for 76 years. She served on the board of directors of Bashor Home in Goshen for 16 years, filling the office of president for two years.
Marilyn will be missed by her husband of 66 years; Bob Brown, Milford; four sons: Daniel F. (Nilah) Brown, Milford; David (Melba) Brown, Peachtree, Ga.; Douglas (Jodi) Brown, Milford; and Andrew (Kathy) Brown, Syracuse; a daughter: Rebecca (Ted) Alles, Milford; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service in Marilyn’s honor will be held at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23. Reverend Robert Nelson will officiate with burial following at Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 22, at the funeral home.
