Commissioners Discuss Detours
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Commissioners met at 9 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 19, to discuss road detours, right-of-ways and sewer construction.
Scott Tilden, county highway superintendent, requested permission, on behalf of James Emans, city engineer of Warsaw, to use a county road for a detour that could last one to two weeks. The road used for the detour would be Rozella Road from SR 15 to SR 25.
The detour would be due to sanitary sewer construction at SR 25 and Lake Street. It would go into effect after Memorial Day and the city would be responsible for detour signs. Tilden also had a release form from the Indiana Department of Transportation for the commissioners to sign, which would release INDOT from damages because it’s a city project.
At the moment, this area has a no-truck restriction, but the detour will allow trucks through temporarily.
