Celebrate Earth Day With The WACF
SYRACUSE — Celebrate Earth Day with the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation Friday, April 22. The theme this year is “Trees For The Earth.”
A short program will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a tree seedling planting and then a guided nature walk on the wetlands and wooded trails on the property. The event will end with making wildflower seed bombs to take home and plant. Posters created by area students will also be on display and prizes for the winners and runners-up of the school-wide “Trees For The Earth” poster competition will be awarded. There are four age categories in the competition.
The event will be held at the Ruddell Pavilion located at the WACF Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes & Wetlands Education Center, one mile south of Syracuse on SR 13.
This is a free family event so bring the kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or children you may know.
