Warsaw Track: Record Books Need Adjusting After Franklin
FRANKLIN – Warsaw had much to be excited about following the Franklin Central Showcases for boys and girls track.
The Warsaw Lady Tigers sent four individuals for the one-mile race and a 4×800 relay, and three Tiger boys ran in the distance showcase.
The mile girls ran some of the top times in Warsaw track history, led by Mia Beckham’s 5:10.90, which was a personal best and fifth-best time in school history. To show the depth of the competition at Franklin, Beckham placed 16th overall. Allison Miller went 5:20.17 to place 31st, Hannah Dawson timed 5:22.45 for 38th and Claire Kehler ran a 5:35.20. In the relay, Lauren Orr, Charlene Orr, Dayton Groninger and Brooke Rhodes placed eighth overall with a 9:56.81. LaPorte won the event with a blistering 9:33.81.
