NORTH WEBSTER — April is National Poetry month. Voyager Book Club will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, to discuss a poetry book.
If you have read any poetry book lately, bring it to Voyager to share and hear about books others have read. It’s a great way to explore different genres and discover new titles and authors.
If you love to cook, bring your talents to Revolving Recipe Round-Up 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26. Prepare a dish that includes eggs and bring it to share along with the recipe. It will be a fun and delicious time of sampling each other’s dishes and swapping recipes. The library supplies the table service and free coffee.
In the Youth department at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, is the last Crafts and Stories of the spring session. School age children engage in crafts while listening to Miss Cathy read stories. Crafts and Stories will begin again this fall.
Bring the whole family to Family Movie Time at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the library meeting room. Showing is a 2016 animated adventure where Boog, Elliot and the rest of their pals team up to track down an elusive werewolf and prevent their forest from being intruded upon by hunter Shaw. The movie is rated PG and runs 79 minutes. Free popcorn for everyone and feel free to bring your own beverages.
Do you enjoy art? Stop by the library’s art gallery and admire this month’s art exhibit created by Linda Williams. Linda belongs to a painting group called Brushing Broads +1 in Bluffton. Each month, the library’s art gallery features a different artist and includes a variety of media throughout the year. In June we will welcome art provided by Mary Helen McEvoy. If you’re an artist and would like to display your art, contact Janette Stackhouse to schedule a showing.
