Kosciusko Human Resources Association Training Available
WARSAW — Kosciusko Human resources Association is holding annual spring training from 8:15 a.m. from 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, and Thursday, April 21, at the Warsaw Community Church 1855 S County Farm Road. Each day will consist of the following four presentations:
Totally Engaged
This presentation will be led by Carla Taylor, a certified professional career and leadership coach. It will cover employee engagement, generational issues, as well as how to improve the quality of a hire, decrease employee turnover and improve customer satisfaction.
Dream ON: Building a Bigger Future for Your Organization and Your People
Also led by Carla Taylor, this presentation is based on Matthew Kelly’s “The Dream Manager” program. It will cover how to increase personal and professional development, improve teamwork, reward high performers and improve engagement among the workforce.
Employment Law Update
This presention will be led by Joe Pettygrove, attorney and partner at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP. It will cover how to do Fair Labor Standards Act updates on exemption proposals, how to report on issues that the Department of Labor considers ‘hot,’ and the sampling of recent notable wage/hour cases.
From Dysfunctional to Dynamic: Building High Performing Teams
This presentation will be led by Rachel Roll, CSP. It will cover how to understand the current state of employee engagement in the workplace today, as well as the importance of customer service. It will teach ways to address dysfunctional attitudes and behaviors.
Attending the presentations will cost members $120 for one day and $200 for two days. Non-members will have to pay $150 for one day and $250 for two days.
