Harold Neumann
Harold “Dale” Neumann, 79, of Goshen, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born May 31, 1936 in Campbell, Mo. to Herman and Gladys (Krebs) Neumann.
He is survived by a son, Eric (Shirley) Neumann of Mabelton, Ga.; three daughters: Erin (Ed) Gerwels of Bristol; Alise (Glen) Davidson of Columbus, Ohio; and Alane (Brian) Stutzman of New Paris; eight grandchildren: Mandy (Chad) Schotter, Elizabeth Gerwels, Ellen (Nathan) Simons, Adam (Lori) Stutzman, Kendra (Jeffrey) Weirich, Bethany (Ethan) Zartman, Emma Davidson and Aiden Davidson; ten great-grandchildren: Justin, Catrina, Grace and Abby Simons, Gavin, Lincoln and Broden Stutzman and Lillian, Amelia and Henry Schotter; and three brothers: Charles (Shirley) Neumann of Pontiac, Ill.; Eugene (Donna) Neumann of Goshen; and Wallace Neumann of Elkhart.
Dale moved to Goshen in 1942 and graduated from Goshen High School in 1954. He worked in shipping at Western Rubber for 44 years.
Dale’s passion in life was his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time withfamily, whether it was going out for breakfast, getting a cup of coffee (his second passion in his life) or going to his family’s special events, sporting events and performances.
Friends may call Monday, April 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Knight will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Miami, FL 33134 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
