Eva Mary Sullivan
Eva Mary Sullivan passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was surrounded by her loving daughters and granddaughters. Eva was born to Louis and Gertrude Hurn in Norfolk, England, and arrived in the United States in May of 1955. One of her proudest moments came in 1976 when she became a citizen of the United States.
Eva was preceded in death by a daughter: Kim Folck; her parents; and a sister: Vera Minns. She is survived by her daughters: Joanne (Garry) Manno, Valparaiso; Debra (Mike) Gilliam, Warsaw; Billie (Steve) Dyal, Naples, Fla.; Cindy (Ken) Hamman, Warsaw; nephew: Robert (Susan) Minns, England; 13 beloved grandchildren: Ryan (fiancé Jillian Escoto) Manno, Santa Clarita, Calif.; Kevin (fiancé Ali Fedotowsky) Manno, Sherman Oak, Calif.; Carlye Gilliam, Warsaw; Lindsay (Jake) Yoder, Nappanee; Leslie (Justin) Lentz Cochrane, AB Canada; Lori (fiancé Brice Poling) Folck, Winona Lake; Brooke (fiancé Ryan Applegate), Sarasota, Fla.; Michael (Mandy) Dyal, Columbus, Ohio; Joshua Dyal, Toledo; Sarah (Ron) Vicars, Liberty Center, Ohio; Emily (Nathan) Behny; Tyler Hamman, San Francisco, Calif; and Justin Hamman, Lafayette. Furthermore, she was blessed with 29 cherished great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
Eva was a faithful employee of GTI in Leesburg as well as Kimble Glass in Warsaw where she retired after 17 years. She went on to work at Gilliam Lanes for 10 years as well as at CVS pharmacy in Warsaw and she attended Warsaw Community Church. Eva was known for her bubbly, sparkling personality and she enjoyed working with people. She loved flowers, making puzzles, reading, spending time with family and friends, and taking long walks on the many trails around Warsaw. Eva was a vibrant person with a quick wit and an even quicker smile. She loved life and lived it to the fullest and she will be greatly missed by so many.
Friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
