Grace To Host Red Cross Blood Drive

WINONA LAKE — To help meet the demand for blood donations, Grace College and Seminary will host a Red Cross Blood Drive from noon to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Gordon Recreation Center, 100 Publishers Dr., Winona Lake.
“Not enough people realize the impact donating blood makes. The need for blood is at an all-time high and only about 10 percent of eligible donors are contributing,” said Brittany Bigler, blood drive correspondent for Grace College and Seminary. “We regularly host blood drives at Grace to provide the community with a convenient location to participate and help save lives.”
Bigler’s goal is for at least 70 pints of blood to be collected at the blood drive.
The actual blood donation process takes only 10 to 15 minutes and each donation can save up to three lives. To donate, visit redcross.org, click “Give Blood” and “Find a Blood Drive.” Enter the sponsor code “Lancers” and click on the Grace College donation link to schedule an appointment. Walk-in donations are also welcomed.
