Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, North Syracuse-Webster Road south of East CR 1100N, Syracuse. Driver: Rhett A. Coblentz, 16, North CR 950E, North Webster. Coblentz’s vehicle went off the roadway and he overcorrected, hitting a utility pole. Damage up to $25,000.
6:51 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, South SR 13 south of East Shoop Road, Pierceton. Driver: Tracy A. Thomas, 48, South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne. Thomas’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
8:30 a.m. Monday, April 11, East CR 1300 and North CR 175E, Milford. Driver: Deborah A. Rice, 54, West Emeline Street, Milford. Rice’s vehicle hit a fence. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:12 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, South SR 13 and East Ryerson Road, Pierceton. Drivers: Julie Underhill, 63, South Whitley Road, South Whitley, and Dustin T. Cahill, 22, East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Underhill pulled across SR 13 into the path of Cahill’s oncoming vehicle and they collided. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Offciers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 902 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: Stephen L. Stout, 61, Norht CR 200E, Milford, and Joseph M. Denton, 45, North Main Street, Milford. Stout backed his vehicle into Denton’s police car. A nearby witness confirmed what happened. Denton arrested Stout for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Officers found a bottle of vodka and three empty beer cans in Stout’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:44 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, East Old Road 30 and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandon S. Klosowski, 24, East Center Street, Warsaw, and Jean A. Hopkins, 49, East CR 150N, Pierceton. Klosowski’s vehicle rear-ended Hopkins’s vehicle at the red light. Damage up to $2,500.
