Whitko March Students Of The Month
SOUTH WHITLEY —Whitko Community School Corporation has announced the students of the month for March:
Julian Sexton, Whitko High School, has a way of bringing out the best in people. He doesn’t judge a person before he gets to know them. He has a sense of humor and knows how to listen. He possesses a positive attitude and a kind heart. Julian is also very intelligent and picks things up easily. When he doesn’t fully understand a concept, Julian will work hard until he gets total comprehension. He likes to take on extra challenging problems to push his intellect and improve his depth of knowledge. Julian also tutors many of his peers. He is unselfish and always willing to help others. Julian was nominated by Math teacher, John Strayer.
Jackson Hollenbaugh, Whitko Middle School, has an excellent work ethic and is a great help to his fellow peers. Jackson was nominated by teachers Antimony Fox, Laura Thong-Umphai and Rochelle Leininger
Aubrey Till, Whitko Elementary School, is a very dedicated student who comes to school prepared to learn as much as she can each and every day. She consistently does her class assignments and homework, and always striving to do her personal best. Aubrey also serves as an ambassador, and she takes this role quite seriously, preparing her lessons to be as effective as possible. She often gives up her recess time to practice her lessons. Besides being an ambassador, Aubrey has taken on other leadership roles in the school. Last fall she wrote a short play about problem solving that she and a few classmates performed for the school. Aubrey was nominated by teacher, Peg Dyer.
Ethan Wunder, Pierceton Elementary School, “Is one of the kindest students I have ever encountered. He is not only extremely involved and helpful in our Jr. Tech Team at PES but also a huge help in my classroom with the younger classes. He will volunteer his time to come down and help out with teaching the younger kids new concepts during tech time. Every time I have ever seen him interact with other staff in our building, he has always treated them with the up most respect. It is my pleasure to nominate him for all these reasons,” Abby Spurlin PES teacher. Ethan was nominated by Spurlin.
