Williams Flags Down Another Motorist, Later Arrested
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Margaret Williams, 34, 7849 N. CR 400E, Leesburg, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 12:24 a.m. Saturday, April 2, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Fowler reports on March 22, he responded to a female flagging down a vehicle and not acting normal. Williams was located and told police she was feeling suicidal and took an unknown amount of pills. Medics, while treating Williams, found a plastic bag containing pieces of wet cotton under her shirt. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
Williams told police the plastic bag contained methamphetamine, which did test positive for the drug.
Police also found there was an active warrant for Williams for unlawful sale of a precursor and maintaining a common nuisance.
She was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
