Wal-mart Foundation Accepting Grant Applications
INDIANAPOLIS — The Wal-mart Foundation will begin accepting grant applications to its State Giving Program on April, 4. Indiana nonprofit organizations can apply for grants between $25,000 and $200,000 to support programs that focus on hunger relief and healthy eating, career opportunity and disaster preparedness. The deadline to submit grant requests is 11:59 p.m. April 15.
The Wal-mart Foundation will award grants to Hoosier organizations that address areas of need among under-served populations. Indiana-based charities, including the Urban Leagues of Indianapolis and Fort Wayne and Feeding America foodbanks in Indianapolis and Terre Haute, received a total of $800,000 in grants from the Wal-mart Foundation State Giving Program in 2015.
