Five Adults, Juvenile Arrested After Counterfeit Money Found
PLYMOUTH — Five adults and a juvenile, all from Fort Wayne, have been booked in the Marshall County Jail on charges related to possession of counterfeit currency.
According to Plymouth Police Department Detective Sgt. Leo Mangus, Plymouth Police stopped a vehicle at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, April 3, on US 30, near Oak Drive. The driver, Raynesha Causey, 18, was arrested for operating a vehicle with a controlled substance onboard. She was later charged with counterfeiting.
It was during this stop numerous counterfeit $100 bills were located by police, including uncut copied bills and a printer.
Charged with counterfeiting were: Tristan Lacey, 18, Drake Wells, 18; and Terrell Smith, 18. An additional charge of false informing was filed against Smith.
Jalaysha Mccaleb, 19, arrived at the police department and provided false information and attempted to assist Smith in using a false identity. Mccaleb was then charged with assisting a criminal and false informing.
The 17-year-old juvenile, an occupant of the car, was placed in a detention center.
Bond has been set at $5,000 cash for each individual.
