State Honors ‘Promising Practices’ In Schools

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Education has unveiled more than 20 additional “Promising Practice” programs on its way to a total of 200 by the end of the year to celebrate the state’s bicentennial. The program recognizes innovative and high-quality education practices is schools throughout Indiana.
Fairfield Community Schools, districtwide, was recognized for Fair, Equitable & Transparent Teacher Evaluations and Elkhart Community Scools, Mary Beck Elementary, was recognized for its co-teaching initiative.
The Indiana Department of Education has recognized 50 Promising Practices programs to date. The department says, to be selected, programs must be student-centered and focusing on positively impacting students through activities that provide high-quality experiences and learning environments.
