Warsaw Girls Track: Strong Showing At HSR Meet
WEST LAFAYETTE – A school record effort highlighted a number of impressive performances by members of the Warsaw girls track team in the Hoosier State Relays Finals Saturday at Purdue.
The 4 X 800 relay team of Hannah Dawson, Dayton Groninger, Brooke Rhodes and Kenzie Martz shattered the school standard by over 12 seconds. The quartet earned a fifth-place finish with a record time of 9:40.34.
The team of Audrey Rich, Sam Alexander, Remi Beckham and Maygan Bellamy won their heat in the 4 X 200 only to be disqualified for a lane violation. The ruling was appealed and the team was awarded a seventh-place overall finish. Their time of 1:46.82 was the second-fastest in school history.
The Distance Medley Relay team of Anna Craig (1,200), Angie Sanchez-Vigil (400), Allison Miller (800) and Mia Beckham (1,600) earned a seventh-place finish. The team’s time of 12.36.76 was just three seconds off the school record.
The 4 X 400 relay team of Bellamy, Alexander, Remi Beckham and Rich placed 13th in a season-best time of 4:13.61.
Mia Beckham was ninth in the 3,200 with a new personal-best time of 11:13.90, which is the third fastest in school history. Miller was 17th in the 3,200 with a season-best time of 11:29.10.

The top eight finishers in each event earn All-State honors.
