Dennis W. Derryberry, 58, Akron, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Bill and Lucille (Clevenger) Derryberry. He married on March 17, 2000, in Rochester, Indiana to Reba D. Honkomp, she survives. Dennis was a supervisor for Lau Industries of Rochester, where he had worked for 29 years.

He attended the Walk by Faith Community Church of Roann. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping around the house, building many thing, and collecting M and M figurines.

He is survived by his wife: Reba Derryberry, Akron; daughters: Dawn Renee (Tim) Boone, Va.; Shelly Lyn Tennant, Leesburg; biological children: Sara and Mike Derryberry, Indianapolis; grandchildren: Braxton and Kennedy Tennant; Adella and Wyatt Boone; mother: Lucille Derryberry; brother: Mike Derryberry, Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law: Reba L. Honkomp; father: Bill Derryberry; brother: Greg Derryberry; sister-in-law: Linda Haeck; brother-in-law: Richard Honkomp; and his loving dog.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Hartzler Funeral Home, before the 4 p.m. service, also at the funeral home in Akron.
