Aubrey M. Jones
Mr. Aubrey M. Jones, 87, Rochester, passed away at 2:17 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Woodlawn Hospital.
On Dec. 22, 1928, Aubrey was born in Shelby County, Ill. to Harry and Vangie Ripley Jones. Growing up he shared his childhood with three sisters and three brothers. Aubrey and Mary Ann Virden were married on March 3, 1950. They have shared 66 years of life’s adventures. Their union produced three daughters and two sons. Two more generations have been added to the family tree with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Aubrey and Mary Ann were the owners and operators of A and M Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, the Eagles Fraternal Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary # 1343.
Aubrey is lovingly remembered by his wife: Mary Ann; two daughters: Charlotte (Roger) Ramsey, Shelby Township, Mich.; Beverly (Mark) Floor, Akron; three sons: Richard Jones, Etna Green; Michael (Pam) Jones, Talma; Dan (Jennifer) Jones, Claypool; eight grandchildren: Fred Jones; Matt Jones; Melody ‘Mel’ Jones; Rachelle Heldt; Jennifer Wu; Sarah Jones; Hannah Jones; Jesse Floor; five great-grandchildren: Jacob and Emily Heldt; Mason Wu; Luke Jones; Korbin Schoettmer; two sisters: Maureen McMillan, N.M.; Janice (Charlie) Hamilton, N.C.; three brothers: Flloyd Jones, Decatur, Ill.; Larry (Dot) Jones, New Buffalo, Mich.; Carroll (Susie) Jones, Assumption, Ill.; many nieces and nephews; and best friend: Jasper Dulin, Rochester. Preceding Aubrey in death are his parents and sister: Donna Becker, Mo.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Good Family Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 24, also at Good Family Funeral Home. Chaplain Jason See will officate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Fulton County Animal Education and Adoption Center Fund through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation or to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1343
