Tickets Still Available For Bachelor BYC Fundraiser
WARSAW — “The Bachelor” is over, but the community can still see more of “The Bachelor” Ben Higgins at the annual Baker Youth Club Fundraiser, as there are 120 general admission tickets still available.
The annual Baker Youth Club Fundraiser theme has been switched from the traditional BYC Madness to BYC Realty, with special guest speaker, The Bachelor, Ben Higgins. The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, at BYC, 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw. The event is for those 21 years of age and older.
Already all sponsorship levels, including Red Rose, Pink Rose, Yellow Texas and White Rose, are sold out. Still available are general admission tickets, with auditorium style seating available, at $75 per ticket. A special event will take place from 1-4 p.m. for those age 20 and younger to meet with Higgins and have photographs taken. These tickets are $20 each and there are approximately 100 still available, according to the BYC.
Higgins will speak at 8 p.m. He is expected to speak about his journey for love, experience on the show, his passion for BYC and what BYC means to him. There will be an approximate 15-minute question and answer time following his presentation. There will also be an opportunity throughout the evening to have a photograph taken with Higgins.
“I think it is pretty cool how Ben is a really good guy and I think what you’re seeing, how he is portraying himself, he’s done a really good job of representing Warsaw, himself and our community. The fact he’s willing to come back 11 days after the final episode and do a charity event speaks volume for his passion for BYC and his willingness to give back,” said Tracy Funivall, BYC executive director. “It’s a great opportunity for people, if they are interested, to hear Ben’s story on his experience and help a great not for profit providing for kids in our community.”
“It’s great for us because it will help us generate the biggest fundraiser we have ever had. We’re excited to have him come back,” added Furnivall. Already tickets have been sold to people in New York, Chicago, Fort Wayne and Michigan.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for those not a part of the Red Rose sponsorship. During the 6:30-8 p.m. social time, there will be a cash bar and food by Downtown, American Table, Dairy Queen, Mad Anthonys, Maple Leaf, Zoyo’s and Owens Super Market located on Market Street.
The evening will conclude with a live auction. Some of the items up for auction are trips to Marco Island, Fla., or Hawaii; lasik eye surgery by Dr. Kris Knight; a progressive dinner in Winona Lake; and a dinner date with Ben Higgins.
