Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, East Center Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Moriah A. Young, 27, Clinic Court, Warsaw, and Joseph D. Bumbaugh, 54, Park Avenue, Winona Lake. Bumbaugh, a Winona Lake Police Officer, complained of pain to the neck and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, his K9 partner was taken to Lake City Animal Clinic for medical attention. Young’s vehicle struck the back of Brumbaugh’s police vehicle, Young’s vehicle was found to have false and fictitious. Damage up to $25,000.
4:57 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, South Packerton Road and East CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Driver: Corey T. Whelpley, 31, South Packerton Road, Silver Lake. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
2 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, East CR 400S and South CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Samuel D. Silor, 19, South CR 300E, Warsaw. Silor failed to make the curve at CR 400S and CR 475E, going off the road and hitting a farm fence and gate. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, West Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers; Ricky D. Watters, 60, East CR 400S, Warsaw, and Nichole F. Holdeman, 31, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Watters’s vehicle struck the Holdeman vehicle while making a turn. Damage up to $2,500.
