Hall Arrested On Three Drug Charges
WARSAW — Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Officers arrested Dennis Langly Hall Monday morning. March 7, on three drug charges. He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:40 a.m.
Hall, 49, 326 N. Lake Street, Warsaw, has preliminarily been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug, both level 6 felonies, and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor. The marijuana charge has been enhanced to a class A misdemeanor, after authorities discovered he was convicted on an unrelated drug charge Nov. 10, 2014.
Documents filed in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Feb. 15, state Warsaw Police observed a Kia Sportage on Dec. 13, make a left turn onto Cook Street without a proper turn signal. After a traffic stop was initiated the officer observed Hall, who was identified as the driver, had slurred speech, red and watery eyes and an odor of alcohol was coming from inside the vehicle. Police could also see a multicolored cylinder lying in the glove box, commonly associated with the use and possession of marijuana.
Hall and two passengers were removed from the vehicle and a canine unit called to the scene. The canine alerted on the vehicle resulting in a search of the vehicle. Officers found two clear plastic bags containing plant material, a cigarette package containing a hand rolled cigarette. The plant material and rolled cigarette were identified as marijuana. A hallow pen body was also located with a white powdery substance. This substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
Additional items found in the vehicle included a wooden dugout containing a green plant material with marijuana lying just outside the passenger window, where a female passenger had been sitting and white pills, identified as Oxycodone where Hall had previously stood near the vehicle. Hall did not have a valid prescription for the Oxycodone.
Hall was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond.
