Former Prosecutor Files Appearance For Rovenstine
WARSAW — Mike Miner, former deputy prosecutor who retired last year, and a former county prosecutor, has filed his appearance for and on behalf of C. Aaron Rovenstine. Miner filed his appearance Friday, March 4.
Miner will join James H. Voyles and Jennifer M. Lukemeyer with Voyles Zahn Paul Hogan and Meriman, Indianapolis, in defending Rovenstine, sheriff of Kosciusko County, against the recent grand jury indictments.
Rovenstine will appear in Kosciusko Circuit Court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 17, for his initial hearing, unless the hearing is waived by his attorneys.
Rovenstine is one of three individuals indicted by a Kosciusko County Grand Jury in mid-December and late February. The indictments were announced Monday, Feb. 29.
Rovenstine has been indicted on three counts of bribery, one count of intimidation, one count of assisting a criminal and five counts of official misconduct.
Kevin Bronson and Mark Soto were also indicted. Bronson was indicted on three counts of corrupt business influence and seven counts of intimidation. Soto was indicted on three counts of corrupt business influence and three counts of intimidation.
Soto will appear for an initial hearing at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 17. No attorney has filed an appearance for or on behalf of Soto.
Bronson, who had his initial hearing this morning, March 8, has asked the court appoint an attorney for him.
