Jacqueline Patricia Kurtz
Jacqueline Patricia Kurtz, 87, Goshen, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Cottage Garden.
She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Goshen to Elmer Frank and Rachel Mary (Rock) Harsh. On Sept. 27, 1946, she married Donald F. Kurtz in New Paris. He died Aug. 9, 2008.
Survivors include three sons: D. Steven Kurtz, Broomfield, Colo.; John (Deb) Kurtz, New Paris; and Fred (Debbie) Kurtz, Goshen; a daughter: Kimberly (Michael) Briskey, Bargersville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Toqualee Armington, New Paris; Shirley Norris, Fishers. Mrs. Kurtz was raised by her aunt and uncle: Faye and George Emmert, after the passing of her mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters: Sandra Hamilton; Eleanora Addington; two brothers: George and Bert Harsh; and her aunt and uncle: Faye and George Emmert.
A 1946 graduate of New Paris High School, Mrs. Kurtz was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was very active in many other church activities.
Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Rob Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery. Arrangements are with Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
