NAPPANEE — Nappanee Public Library will host a knitting group and Pinterest night for interested individuals.
Knitting Group Meets
After several successful classes on beginner knitting skills in the Nappanee Public Library’s makerspace, instructor, Rebecca Haney, is coordinating an ongoing knitters’ group at the Library. Those interested will meet every other month, from 6-8 p.m. every second Tuesday, to work together on projects, learn new skills, and get help with familiar ones. Teens and adults are welcome, and participants must bring their own supplies. No registration is needed.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8.
Pinterest Night
Learn to etch on glass at the next Pinterest night. Crafters will meet in the Cube from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, to etch a set of four drinking glasses. All materials will be provided.
All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pinterest Night is designed as a collaborative, learn-as-you-make program where participants share ideas and tips to complete popular projects found on Pinterest, the virtual bulletin board and Internet hub for bookmarking lifestyle links and images.
