Janet K. Thompson
Janet K. Thompson, 73 of Bourbon, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, March 5, 2016, at her home.
Janet was born the daughter of Clough O. and Opal (Callighan) Davidson on Aug. 1, 1942, in Ironton, Ohio.
She was a resident of the area since 1960. She was a homemaker and had worked at Ristance Wire Company of Argos as well as Sprague of Nappanee. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, birds and bird feeders. But most of all she enjoyed the time with her family and grand and great-grandchildren. She had also attended the Plymouth Baptist Church, her faith was very important to her. Her beautiful smile was a bright spot in everyone’s day.
Janet married John Thompson at Cattlettsburg, Ky., on Dec. 24, 1958, he survives along with their three children; Debra (Mrs. Tom) Green of Plymouth; Dane “Tony” and Tracey Thompson of Warsaw; and Dawn Thompson also of Warsaw. She was further blessed with nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her sister Karen (Mrs. John) Schroeder of Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents: a son: Russell Thompson, two great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Michael and Rick Davidson.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home located at 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Summit Chapel Cemetery, Bourbon.
