Lee And Lien Inducted In LCA Athletic Hall Of Fame
WINONA LAKE — Lakeland Christian Academy recently held its annual induction ceremony for the LCA Athletic Hall of Fame. The Induction Class of 2015 was recognized during the school’s Homecoming festivities.
Charles Lee
Charles Lee, a 2005 graduate, lettered in soccer all four years of high school, recording 48 goals and 30 assists as a central midfielder for the Cougars. His senior year, he helped lead his team to the Northern Indiana Soccer Conference Championship and was named First Team All-Conference. He was a member of the Association of Christian Schools International State Championship team all four years.
At the end of his sophomore year, the Cougars traveled to Dayton, Tennessee, to participate in the National Association of Christian Athletes tournament. LCA was tournament champion that year, as well as Charles’ junior and senior years.
He was named to the NACA All-Tournament team all three years and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player his junior year.
Lee met now wife Aleah while studying at Grace College and the two were married in 2010. Charles and Aleah taught science and math, respectively, at LCA. They have a son, David, who was born last Easter Sunday morning.
Brennan Lien
Brennan Lien coached basketball at Lakeland Christian Academy for four years, boys JV from 1992-1994 and boys varsity from 1994-1996. Coach Lien compiled a varsity coaching record of 44 wins and just two losses.
The Cougars were ACSI state champions in 1995 and 1996, ACSI Midwest Region Runners-Up in 1995 and ACSI Midwest Region Champions in 1996.
Lien was named the 1995 Pepsi/Remax All-Star game coach. His teams were two-time Cougar Classic Champions, New Prairie Holiday Tournament Champions and Word of Life Bible Institute National Tournament Runners-Up.
Lien was married during his coaching career at LCA. He and Christie have been married for 21 years. Their son, Carson, is a freshman at Wheaton College and their daughter, Camryn, is a junior at Bloomington South High School.
The Liens live in Bloomington, where Brennan is the Director of Sales for the Great Lakes Zone for Eppendorf North America.
