WARSAW —Upcoming events and programs at Warsaw Community Public Library:
Drop in Zone meets from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, for grades 6-12 only. Drop in to play video games and board games, watch a movie, and enjoy snacks.
Off the Shelf Reading Group meets from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 3. Discuss “The Kitchen House” by Kathleen Grissom.
Chess Club meets from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday in March. Bring a chess set if you have one. For the beginner or expert, for ages 9 and above.
Friends of the Library meets from 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 7, for the monthly meeting.
Genealogy Club meets from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 8, for a round table discussion.
The Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club meets from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 11.
The Knit and Purl club meets from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, March 14. For the beginner or expert-help is available, so bring your projects.
Writers Club meets from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Monday, March 14, as well. Topics are “Summer Memories,” “Fortune: Good or Bad,” and “New Beginnings.” Write your stories or poems.
Learn about the changes coming to social security during the Savvy Social Security Changes program from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15. Learn how these changes will affect the baby boomers. Make sure to register.
Hooked on Crochet meets from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15. Bring your projects, help is available.
Gluten Free Support Group meets from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 16. Learn what foods you can eat, what restaurants meet your dietary needs, get support from others, and try a gluten free snack.
Make it and Take it Crafts: Glove Bunny, meets from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19. Make a bunny from a pair of gloves. Children are welcome, but each child must have an adult helper. Class is free, just register.
Learn the three R’s to medication on this seminary on how to use medication safely. Being safe about your medications can save your life. Guest speaker Jennifer Hoofer, RPH, of Walgreens Pharmacy, teaches this class from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22. Be sure to register.
Learn meditation techniques designed to promote relaxation and build internal energy with special guest Angie Hernandez, C. Ht. This class will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22.
Card Making Class is from 6-7:45 p.m. Monday, March 28. Make three cards. A $4 non-refundable deposit is required during registration at the reference desk.
