WARSAW — The amazing senior art collection from graduating Grace College Art students is now on exhibit at the Warsaw City Hall. You can visit daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy the work of some spectacular student artists in our own community. Mayor Joe Thallemer encourages the cultural development and enlightenment these exhibits bring to our community.
Warsaw is becoming well-known as a mecca for art opportunity.
The exhibit provides individual students an opportunity to show the talents and skills they have obtained during their journey as college students at Grace College. A number of students have work hanging for your enjoyment.
Pictured is Ethan Grove one of the students working under Kim Reiff, Art Department Director at Grace. In a press release from Grace we learn that “The Grace College art department’s goal is to equip graduates with the ability to communicate visually, possess professional skills and be able to analyze works from historical and contemporary cultural perspectives. Students learn to demonstrate excellence in creative work that ultimately serves in their calling as artists, Christians and professionals.” This exhibit is open now.
A “One Sheet Wonder” workshop will be held at the new LAA gallery, 302 E. Market St., from 1-4 p.m. April 16, Instructor Donna Corp will take you on a pleasant and creative journey in making your own very special and custom greeting cards. You will take home 10 finished cards as well as a template and instructions to use on future cards. Paper supplies will be provided, but please bring your own double-sided clear tape, and your own paper trimmer/cutter. Cost is only $30 and a limited number of seats are available.
This is a great opportunity to create a very special greeting for those times when an ordinary card is not sufficient. Who knows? You may get the attention of Hallmark. Workshops are fun and easy.
Call (574) 269-1101 to register before all seats are filled.
