Larry Alan Livengood
Larry Alan Livengood, 70, of Columbia City, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 14, 2016, at his home.
Born January 28, 1946, in Uniontown, Penn., he was the son of Robert L. and Ruby J. (Stafford) Livengood.
As a boy Larry enjoyed being outdoors and spending time in the mountains of Pennsylvania, often hunting and fishing. After attending Turkeyfoot Valley High School in Confluence, Penn., he and two of his brothers moved to Janesville, Wisc., to work for General Motors. In 1986, Larry moved to Columbia City and was working in the Fort Wayne GM body shop.
A jack of all trades, Larry was always busy doing something. He built his house and enjoyed doing projects around his property, making wine, collecting coins, listening to talk radio, watching Star Trek and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children: Diana (David) Ross of Fort Wayne; Laura Cox of Greenwood, Mo.; William Livengood of Columbia City; Erica Livengood of Columbia City; Scott Livengood of Columbia City; Anthony Livengood of Columbia City; Genell Anderson of Albion; Melissa (Marcus) Sorenson of Fort Wayne; sisters: JoAnn Reily of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Judy Reihl of Pennsylvania and Mary Oester of Maryland; brothers: Bob Livengood, Mike Livengood of Pennsylvania and Jerry Livengood of Wisconsin; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janet Lee and Jean McDowel; and brothers, Ray and Ronnie Livengood.
Per Larry’s request, there will be no services.
DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, was in charge of arrangements.
