Patricia “Pat” Rhoades, 71, formerly of Nappanee, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa, where she has resided for one year. She was born Aug. 9, 1944, in Littleton, Colo. to Russell and Emma (Gelroth) Thrailkill.

Pat lived her lifetime in Nappanee. She was a 1962 graduate of Nappanee High School. She was a former waitress and then owner of Wayside Restaurant in Nappanee for many years.

Mrs. Rhoades is survived by her children: Todd Rhoades; Terri Rhoades, both of Wakarusa; Tim Rhoades, Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers: Russell ‘Sonny’ Thrailkill, Calif.; Daniel Thrailkill, Ore. She was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Dunn.

Private family services are being planned followed by cremation.
