Slocum, Davis, Harrison Promoted At SYM Financial Advisors

WARSAW — SYM Financial Advisors announces the promotions of Jonathan Slocum to financial advisor; Rebecca Davis to senior financial paraplanner and Rich Harrison from senior financial advisor to vice president.
Slocum Promoted
Slocum joined SYM in July 2012, and serves as a fiduciary to portfolio and wealth management clients while leading SYM’s client service team. Slocum holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from William Tyndale College, where he graduated cum laude, and is a designated certified financial planner. Slocum lives with his wife Lindsay and their three children in Warsaw.
“Almost four years ago, Jonathan stepped right into SYM bringing more than a decade of solid experience in financing, and he immediately added value to SYM and our clients,” said Jerry Yeager, chief executive officer. “He is smart, hard-working, and dedicated to serving clients well. I am excited to have Jonathan as an important part of SYM’s future.”
Davis Promoted
Davis joined SYM Financial Advisors in November of 2004. She holds a bachelor’s degree in financial services from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, as well as the CFP practitioner designation. Davis lives in Colombia City with her husband Clay and their daughter.
As senior financial paraplanner, Davis will provide financial planning expertise to clients, train and mentor new Paraplanners within the firm, lead financial planning meetings and help to streamline and standardize processes. “Reba’s knowledge and expertise as it relates to our systems and financial planning is top notch,” said Crystal Creekmore, vice president of operations and chief compliance officer. “This will be a very important year as we continue to grow, train, and realize efficiencies. Harrison Promoted
Harrison brings 27 years of experience in the investment management and trust industry, most recently serving as senior vice president for a trust company before joining SYM in 2013. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from Indiana University and an MBA with honors from the University of Indianapolis. He is an alumna of the ABA Graduate Trust School of Northwestern University.
Harrison currently serves on the board of directors for the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Holy Cross Lutheran Church Foundation, and the Kairos Prison Ministry Advisory Council for Pendleton Correctional Industrial Facility. Harrison has been active in the Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana as both a board member and treasurer, served on the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Finance Committee, the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana Planned Giving Committee, and is a past president of Central Indiana Corporate Fiduciaries.
