State Troopers Uncover $360,000 Worth Of Heroin At I-70 Traffic Stop
MORGAN COUNTY — Indiana State Police made a major drug find during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in western Indiana.
Troopers stopped a 2008 Ford passenger car driven by Christian Sotomayor of Mesa, Ariz., for an improper lane change near the 52 mile marker.
After detecting several indicators of possible criminal activity, troopers searched the vehicle and found around two pounds of heroin and 20 pounds of cocaine in the passenger area and trunk. The street value of the drugs was estimated at $360,000.
Sotomayor, 25, was taken to the Morgan County Jail on trafficking charges.
