Ina “Jeanette” Mast
Ina “Jeanette” Mast, 73, Apache Junction, Ariz., and of Pierceton, passed away at 2:02 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On March 5, 1942, she was born in Warsaw to John B. and Vera M. (Rule) Homan. She was united in marriage to Rex D. Mast in South Whitley, June 3, 1960. He survives.
Jeanette worked as a lighting consultant for Wabash Electric for seven years and then for Kendall Electric for 13 years, where she retired. She also was a consultant for Home Interiors for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pierceton, where she was president of Women’s Fellowship, a member of the fellowship committee and a member of the church choir.
She was also a member of Red Hat Society “Diamond” Arizona for two years and past president of Pierceton Fireman’s Auxiliary, which she had been a member for 35 years. In the last few years, Jeanette became a member of a theatre troupe in Arizona.
She is survived by her husband, Rex D. Mast, Apache Junction, Ariz.; her daughter, Lisa A. Mast, Warsaw; two sons: Kevin E. (Myra) Mast, Pierceton, and Darrel D. Mast, South Whitley; her mother, Vera Homan, Winona Lake; four grandchildren: Heather (Ken) Gero, Havelock, N.C., David Sainer, Pierceton, Jared (Emma) Sainer, Warsaw, and Stephanie (Randy Rose) Campbell, Pierceton; seven great-grandchildren: Brock Sainer, Warsaw, Calvin Ballard, Havelock, N.C., Miley Ballard, Havelock, N.C., Jaycie Mast, Arizona, Irelynn Pearl Gero, Havelock, N.C. Griffin Rose, Pierceton, and Ashlynn Sainer, Warsaw; and her sister-in-law, Alberta Mast, Florida.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her dad and her grandson, Derrik Mast.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the funeral chapel.
